Clinical Study Comparing Organ(y)c 100% Organic Cotton to Conventional Feminine Care Brands
In 2018 Organ(y)c conducted an independent study with a major research university in Italy. With 200 female participants the main objective was to evaluate if there was a significant reduction in skin irritation once the participants had switched from using conventional, non-organic sanitary pads to Organ(y)c organic cotton sanitary pads.
To start all participants were examined by a gynaecologist and found to have skin irritation prior to entering the study. They were again examined in first and second months of the clinical study.
In order to evaluate whether Organ(y)c sanitary pads did help to reduce skin irritation 100 of the participants wore conventional non-organic cotton pads and the other 100 switched to Organ(y)c 100% certified organic cotton sanitary pads.
Our results demonstrated that the women who had switched to Organ(y)c 100% certified organic cotton sanitary pads did have a significant reduction of skin irritation such as redness, itching, irritation, swelling, burning and dryness. 71% of participants said that the Organ(y)c pads offered them a major benefit while the remaining 29% found that they had a moderate benefit to their skin.
Participants who swapped from wearing conventional sanitary pads to Organ(y)c 100% organic cotton sanitary pads preferred the Organ(y)c pads in all 15 of the measured components of the study.
